Terms and Conditions

By signing up to the Board Diversity Charter (Charter) and using the Charter logo (Logo), your company/organisation accept the following (Terms and Conditions)

1. You have the authority to commit your company/organisation to become a Charter signatory..

2. The board of directors of (Company) commits to taking reasonable steps to promote and adopt diversity and inclusion practices in-line with the Charter, and to develop and implement initiatives that seek to build and maintain diversity at the board level.

3. Should the board undertake practices that in the reasonable opinion of the Board Diversity Charter’s Governing Committee (Committee), operate in conflict with the Charter or violate the terms of signatory, the Committee reserves the right to revoke signatory status.

3. Unless otherwise indicated, the Board Diversity Charter owns the copyright and all other intellectual property rights for all text, graphics, information, designs, data and other content forming part of the Charter. Signatories to the Charter may not alter or modify the Charter, logo or all other related material physical or digital.

4. The Charter and the Charter Toolkit (Toolkit) are intended to be guides only and the directors of (Company) are responsible for the consequences of use of the Charter and the Toolkit, including any decision to act or not act on the basis of the Charter and Toolkit. The Charter Toolkit does not take into consideration the particular circumstances or dynamic of {Company’s}, board of directors or that of its affiliates or any third party.

5. The Charter Toolkit and Website may contain links to third party websites which the Board Diversity Charter has no control. These Terms and Conditions do not apply to third party websites, and you should review the terms and conditions of the applicable website prior to use. The Board Diversity Charter makes no representation or warranty and is not responsible for the accuracy or any other aspect of the information on any third party website referred to in the Charter. References to third party websites does not imply the Board Diversity Charter’s endorsement, recommendation or support of the applicable website or any information, opinions, goods or services referred to on it. You acknowledge and agree that any access to and use of third party websites referred to in the Charter is at your own risk and the Board Diversity Charter is not responsible for any losses suffered by you or anyone else in connection with any third party website.

6. The Board Diversity Charter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and will notify you accordingly in such an event. Signatories agree to be bound by any future changes to these Terms and Conditions.

7. You agree for the Board Diversity Charter to collect and store information (which can be of a confidential nature) provided by you when signing up to the Charter. You agree for the Board Diversity Charter to promote and publicise your company’s profile as a signatory to the charter, and as part of marketing and advocacy, if it should choose to do so.

8. The Board Diversity Charter may contact you using the details provided in the application form. Information or notices issued by the Board Diversity Charter to signatories will be sent to the email address provided when signing up.

9. You may contact the Board Diversity Charter about the Charter, or to request to update any contact information by sending any email to info@theboarddiversitycharter.com.

10. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius
